Apply for Assistance

The Pet Good Samaritan Fund partners with private and nonprofit veterinary hospitals to help pets in need.

We are working every day to grow this partnership.

Our application is for pets currently being seen at a participating veterinary clinic. If you are a pet parent, share our information with your veterinarian so they can inquire about teaming up with us to save pets.

If your pet is experiencing an emergency, get them to a veterinarian right away. If funds are preventing you, ask your friends and family for help, post on your social media, and call your local humane society or non-profit rescue for their advice and help.

Pets must be examined by a veterinarian (we do not cover this exam) before we can determine if we can help. Immediately after the exam, email the doctor’s diagnosis, itemized invoice estimate and two pet photos to petgoodsamfund@gmail.com. This is required before we can help.

We do not pay for treatments or surgery taken place prior to our approval.

The Pet Good Samaritan Fund requires pet parents to do their part in paying their bill, getting us documentation from the veterinary hospital, and sharing our information with the veterinarian and veterinary hospital staff.

We created the Affordable Vet Hospitals by State document to help pet parents find financial resources, veterinary hospitals and non-profit organizations.

Remember to thank your veterinarian and their staff. Their daily work is one of the most demanding, stressfull and heart-pulling on earth.

All parties are to be kind, caring and respectful.

We believe no pet should suffer or be euthanized due to economic reasons.
